Aaron is an up-and-coming broadcaster from Warwickshire with radio and TV experience in a whole host of sports such as cricket, football, rugby, basketball, volleyball and, of course, ice hockey.

After joining the Lightning TV crew as a co-commentator during the 2024/25 season, he’s since gone on to become a familiar face on the broadcasts at the Thunderdome, providing insightful analysis on the opposition during the pre-game show as well as high-energy play-by-play commentary during both the regular and post-season.   

In addition to his role here at the Lightning, he’s also been a guest commentator at a number of fellow NIHL National sides.

Aaron also loves everything to do with podcasting - having hosted and produced his own one about county cricket for the past six years – and can’t wait to shine a further spotlight on our talented playing squad via Lightning Talks!

Chris “Dicko” Dickens has been around Milton Keynes Lightning since they formed in 2002.

He was involved as the Car Dealership he worked at at the time was supplying vehicles to players and Coaches. Together with another of the Commentary Team, Mike Walls and other fans they also started the pre-curser to what is today the Barmy Army.

Dicko has occupied a number of match night roles including DJ, match night announcer and timekeeping bench announcer but it was in 2009 when he brought his video camera and started recording games and interviews for YouTube.

Since then Lightning TV has gone from strength to strength culminating in live games being streamed during the two Elite League seasons.

After the 2023 season, Dicko felt that it was the right time to step away from the full time commitment.

Now, he’s back on a part time basis to help support newer team members as they join Lightning TV and keep it going as one of the best live packages in the UK.

 Harrison joined Lightning TV midway through the 2022/23 season as a camera operator before stepping behind the microphone at the start of the 2023/24 campaign. Since then, he has become a regular voice on Lightning TV broadcasts, taking on roles as co-commentator, play-by-play commentator and colour commentator. His commentary experience has also seen him cover games for the Telford Tigers and Romford Raiders. Expanding his involvement with the club even further, Harrison now also co-hosts the Lightning Talks podcast, continuing to share his passion for the club both on and off the ice. 

Mike (aka Pimmy) has been watching hockey since the days of the MK Kings and attended the first ever MK Lightning game. He’s been volunteering with the Lightning since their second season, agreeing to help out as match night DJ – meaning he’s been following and helping out with the team since before a lot of the current roster were born!

After attaining a degree in Journalism he’s helped contribute match reports, features and interviews for the fanzine, the Lightning website, match night programmes and various local media outlets over the course of Lightning’s history.

Mike began commentating for LightningTV during the first season in the Elite League, helping Dicko for games he was unavailable and continued commentating into the NIHL. He now brings his knowledge of the team acquired over the years to the podcast and when not volunteering on Comms, he’s found lending his voice to the drumming section in block 11.

Leo is part of the team behind Lightning TV, helping deliver Milton Keynes Lightning's live broadcasts and digital content. On game nights he works across multiple areas of production, including live directing, vMix operation, graphics, statistics, replay, and broadcast technology, ensuring supporters receive a professional viewing experience. Passionate about combining technology with live sport, Leo is always looking for new ways to raise the standard of Lightning TV's coverage. Whether solving technical challenges, introducing new features, or supporting fellow volunteers, his aim is to make every production better than the last and bring fans even closer to the action.
